US pricing for 2009 Cayenne

2009-porsche-cayenne-gts.jpgPorsche Cars North America has announced the prices of its 2009 Cayenne models, which will go on sale in the US, on July 14, 2008. Cayenne Turbo S is priced at $123,600, while the Cayenne Turbo is priced at $97,700. Cayenne variants are priced at $44,600 for the base model, $59,400 for the S model, and $ $70,900 for the GTS model. Compared with the current model year, prices for 2009 have been increased between 2.3% and 4.3%. The company claims that new features, including advanced audio and communication systems, more powerful brakes on the Turbo models, extended service intervals and a multitude of equipment options currently unavailable for most models, makes the 2009 Cayenne range more attractive than ever. On-sale date of the Turbo S is August 8, 2008.

2009-porsche-cayenne-turbo-s-dashboard-1280x960.jpgThe company also claims that the new Porsche Communication System PCM 3.0, currently introduced in the new-generation 911 sports cars, will also be available in all 2009 Cayenne models. PCM 3.0 is standard on the Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S. PCM 3.0 features a touchscreen and provides expanded capacities, ease of operation and the latest in-car technologies such as an iPod port, hard disk drive navigation, the addition of XM NavTraffic and XM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port and an auxillary jack.

    $44k for a base model Cayenne seems pretty cheap. On the other hand, I’m sure after you option in even the most basic things, it will be up over $50k pretty quick.
