TechArt Tunes Carrera GT
How can Porsche’s supercar possibly become any better? Even though the Carrera GT is esthetically beautiful and one of the fastest sports cars in the world, TechArt has still found a way to thread the needle. TechArt maintained its focus primarily on the aerodynamics aspect this time around. They managed to create a very clean look while not disturbing the originality of this unique supercar.
A new front chin spoiler was added as well as the new top-exit air outlet sitting just in front of the trunk lid. A 3-piece gurney flap was installed on the super-cars rear lid. All three pieces are compiled of carbon fiber. Techart decided to leave the remaining stock wheels, however they did receive a shot of bright orange paint. I think this decision was a great one, keeping the overall beauty of the Carrera GT.
Although TechArt primarily focused on the esthetics’s and downforce, they did however manage to squeek in a few minor engine modifications. Simply changing the intake and exhaust system boosted the stock horsepower from 612 hp to 635 hp. Since Porsche has done such an excellent job fine tuning the 5.7-liter V10 engine, why mess with a good thing?
