Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton might be skilled at handling fast cars, but his father could certainly do with a few driving lessons after crashing his Porsche into a children’s playground. Anthony Hamilton was just 200 metres from his home in Tewin, Hertfordshire, when he lost control of the £330,000 vehicle and ploughed across a grass verge, leaving deep tire tracks, before crashing through a hedge. The accident left the silver Porsche Carrera GT with a broken rear light and two large cracks in the body work below it. To make matters worse the car does not even belong to Mr Hamilton, he was merely borrowing it for the day. He refused to reveal the identity of its owner. (more…)

Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT
One of the most incredibly astounding Porsche’s I have ever seen. Gemballa has beautifully designed a wonderful piece of artwork. The spectacular end product answers to the name of Gemballa Mirage GT and outshines its production-line counterpart in every respect. The stock Carrera GT engine is an extremely powerful 5.7-litre V10 boasting 612 horsepower. One would think that would quench the thirst for enough power, Gemballa seems to think otherwise. (more…)

Even though the Carrera GT is esthetically beautiful and one of the fastest sports cars in the world, TechArt has still found a way to thread the needle. Porsche’s Best 911 Turbo?
With the recent release of the 997 GT2 The 997 turbo almost seems to have been overlooked. Being the flagship 911 model I thought taking a closer look at this amazing piece of art would be worth while. When you first read the specs on 997 turbo they are simply outstanding. With a 3.6 liter flat 6 cylinder engine pumping out a whopping 480hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque there is more then enough power to get you from where you are to where you intent to be.
