2009 911 turbo Facelift

spy_shots_porsche_911_turbo_facelift_3.jpgThe 2009 Porsche 911 turbo will receive a minor facelift. Although it does seem early, as the 997 style is still relatively new, being only two years old. Some of the new changes include the rear end receiving new taillights with LEDs and a slightly different lens arrangement. Reshaped tailpipes indicate a reworked exhaust, so there will be a few extra horsepower. I would love to see a front end facelift similar to the 2008 GT2, but I’m not holding my breathe.

This means that power from the 3.6L turbocharged engine should move up from the current 480 to somewhere around 500 horsepower. The extra power is needed with the much anticipated Nissan GT-R making its debut in the US.
